Allstate.com

Over a period of 8 months, I helped lead a creative team to conceptualize and redesign Allstate.com. From pitch, to design, to implementation–I've worked closely with a team of designers and developers to overhaul a 500+ page site that receives over 300,000 visitors a month. With such a large and diverse audience, Allstate needed an online experience that was simple and straightforward yet dynamic and personal.

Dynamic Content via Geo-location

The site uses geo-location to tailor content for each user. A person browsing auto insurance in Austin, TX will be presented with a completely different set of content than someone located in San Francisco.

Interactive Sliding Drawer

Working directly with a UX designer and strategist, we created tools to help personalize and streamline the experience. An ever-present drawer module allows customers and prospects to access agent and quote information at any time on every page throughout the site.

Existing Customers vs. Prospects

Page content is tailored to two types of users: prospects and existing customers. Prospects (below, left) will see product messaging, an agent finder, and an instant quote tool. Existing customers (below, right) are presented with their agent information, tools & resources pertaining to the products they own, and additional coverage that might be beneficial.

To accommodate mobile users, I explored a design that retained the look and feel of the desktop experience while surfacing the most essential tools and information from Allstate.com. The homepage includes simple tools for getting a quote, finding an agent, and researching products. The persistent top navigation allows quick access to site navigation and customer login.
